Hess taking another shot at the Harley and defending Stateline Win

Waterford, Pa  -  After much deliberation Saturday morning, the team decided to defend our home turf and take our chances at Stateline’s 5k to win modified show.  In doing this we the team forfeits points in Dean Miracles Independent Racing Series.  “The IRS tour has been fun, hard, but fun.  It’s getting to that point of the season where we must focus on the bottom line, money,”  Said Dave.  This also frees up our schedule to finish what we started last year at the Heritage 101 at Brush creek Motorsports Complex.   Dave won the warm-up event after racing side-by –side with Ontario’s Phe-nom, Steve Arpin.  “I had a great race last year and I’m very excited to race again this year.  It was loads of fun and this year I want to take home that Harley.  It was a huge bummer to run so well and get hit with bad luck so late in the race,” Commented a focused Dave Hess Jr.

“ To travel with the IRS we’re making gas money, that’s it, it’d be nice if Dean (Miracle)could pull something together for his loyal travelers, it seems like most who started (the tour)have missed one or multiple shows.  Fifty laps is quite a bit of wear and tear to a car for 5k a few times a week.  We’ve enjoyed racing with the IRs and hope to salvage 5th or better and still make some contingency money, but for the next few weeks we’ll be focused on our modified program.” Geoff Kinder-PR.

Following a series is a privilege that many corporate and well funded teams can do on a weekly basis wherever the series may take them.  We pride ourselves at Hess Racing to be a family owned and operated team that competes on a national level although Hess Racing is actively seeking marketing partners for the remainder of the 2008 season and beyond.  With corporate or small business sponsorship our opportunities could greatly increase.

We still plan to keep many IRS races on our schedule so check it often.  (Becca is good at keeping it accurate!)  For the next week fans can catch the 44 team at E. Smethport, PA’s McKean County Raceway Thursday competing in ULMS action.  Friday, August 1st we’ll be in Peebles Ohio’s Bruscreek MS’s  Annual Heritage 101 competing for a Harley Davidson Heritage Soft-tail. Dave Hess Jr., drives the Hess Garage and Salvage, Beacon Lubricants, Plyler Overhead Door, Jim Brozell Construction, Linda’s Notary Service, Kinder’s Communications, Collision World, Texas Roadhouse, Simpson Racing Products, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Afco Racing Shocks, MWB graphics, Craiger-powered, Rocket, Pontiac GTO.
