Hess Off to a Good Start Hopes to Keep it Up!
June 8, 2009
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Waterford, PA - Dave Hess Jr., already collected a few wins and is ready to get down to business as we head into the busy months for Hess Racing. "June, July, and August are our busy months, no doubt," said Hess. "We will try to focus on one race at a time and not really get ahead of ourselves."
Coming off of a strong month, Hess never finished outside of the top 10 throughout the month of May. He hopes to keep the ball rolling and stay in the top ten throughout the busy months as well. "I'd really like to thank Mom/Dad and our sponsors for even having the opportunity to race, let alone race well," confessed Hess. The team has already raced in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, New York, and here in Pennsylvania.
Since May 23rd the team decided to participate in the Inaugural season of the All-Stars Late Model Circuit owned by Guy Webb and carefully watched over by former MACS promoter, Jason Shenck. Hess missed the Winchester, VA race and subsequently he is in 7th place in the series and all six in front of him have attended all races. "I was going to do my own thing this year and not race with a series, but when I saw how professional and organized the series was, I thought doing the tour might be a good idea," allowed Hess. "The top ten get tow money which was a big factor in our decision and after the trip to Michigan, the rest of the races are somewhat close, so I hope for the best."
Hess will also be racing Sunday's at Eriez when his schedule permits. He will also be driving his E-mod at Eriez and some other bigger purse races. "That's why we like the ALMS tour, it barely conflicts with any races I want to go to," said Hess. "Brushcreek Motorsports Complex is a great place and I'm definitely excited to defend my title as the Heritage 101 winner and hopefully tow another Harley home, "remarked Hess.
Dave Hess Jr., drives the Hess Garage and Salvage, Linda's Notary Service, Beacon Lubricants, Plyler Overhead Door, Jim Brozell Construction, Genesis Shocks, Collision World, Kinder MotorSports Services, MWB Graphics, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Simpson Racing Products, Rocket, Pontiac GTO.
